There are 105 colors of 100% Marino Wool, 25 colors of Marino Silk (75% marino, 25% silk), 23 colors of Baby Alpaca and 4 colors of Sweetie Tweedie…beautiful colors and a great feel. They are a good replacement for Felicity’s Garden and Newport Harbor which are no longer available. They and Caron Impressions are also replacements for the discontinued Medici. We are expanding our lines of Impressions (solid colors) and Paternayan so that we will have all colors which are available. If you have need either Medici or Needle Necessities overdyed floss (both threads discontinued) to complete a project, we still have some skeins of both but they are becoming very limited in colors. There is a new linen (30 and 35 counts) from Weeks Dye Works and we have swatches for you to see and several cuts on backorder. We are also ordering more fabrics from Lakeside Linens and Picture This Plus. If you come into the shop, be sure to look at the sale items on the cart in the teaching/holiday room. New items are constantly being added and items on the cart can be had at greatly reduced prices. Right now there are some hanks of Paternayan wool and also $50.00 value bags of Paternayan skeins selling for $10.00 each. If you come into the shop during the month of your birthday you can show us your I.D. and receive a 15% discount on your purchases excluding books, finishing and items already on sale. We have a new line of scissors from Uncommon Scissors and there are wonderful “black (and silver and gold) cats”, swans, squirrels, and seahorses and she is frequently coming out with new reproduction scissors. We also have samples of beautiful tortoise shell handled scissors and Eiffel Tower scissors from a French company and we can get your special orders of these two scissors very quickly. We are also hoping to soon be able to have the German Dovo scissors for sale. We have many beautiful bags, including several Laural Birch designs. We also try to keep a good supply of various sizes of mesh and vinyl bags to protect your stitching projects. Kay has booked some great trunk shows in 2008 including Associated Talents in January, Dream House Ventures in February, Studio Midwest in March, Patty Paints in April, Maggie & Co in September, Julia’s in November and S & S in December. Mark your calendars – the annual cross stitch “Shop Hop” is scheduled for May 1, 2 and 3. We have booked trunk shows from Victoria Sampler, Brittercup and Cedar Hill so there will be a lot of beautiful models for you to see and great charts to purchase. Kay and Charlotte will be attending the TNNA needlework market in California in January and the Dallas market in April and Charlotte will be going to the Nashville market in February so there should be lots of new things coming into the shop following their return from these markets. If you are trying to match a special canvas, need a canvas with a special design or of a special size we can put you in contact with someone to paint it for you. Also if you have a project that needs to be stitched or the stitching completed, we can help you find someone. We are able to order social fraternity/sorority items, ornaments with your favorite school, college, university or sports team and have a company who will do customer needlepoint reproductions of your photos…this would be great you’re your pet, home, child’s art work, etc. Ever wanted a magnifying lamp, a stand, had a special canvas you really wanted to order or just wanted a “shopping spree” at Two The Point???? With the upcoming holidays you can add them to your “wish list” or drop hints that a gift certificate from Two The Point would be a welcome gift. We try to keep a variety of stands and lights in the shop for you to test before ordering. Don’t forget, we encourage special orders and can mail almost everything if you can’t get into the shop.
